Gold Rush inspired Outfit: NYE & taking on the new year

Hello my little fireflies,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I’m so excited to start off the new year. I first wanna thank everyone who consistently read my blog in 2018 because looking back my blog has grown TREMDOUSLY! I am so proud of myself for putting out better content than ever before and thankful you are here to read it. I can count the times I did a blog makeover until I finally got it right.

Lexington, KY: The Grand Reserve

New Year’s Eve was so much fun! I was home in Lexington for it so I spent it with my family! (I seriously need to make friends because I’ve been spending way too much time with my family! Lol jk….kinda). There’s no better way to ring in the new year than with people who love you. Any who, we went to The Grand Reserve New Year’s Eve party (Masquerade event) and it was so much fun. All three bars were open and had a themed DJ for each one and it was so exciting. I stayed in the bar with the 70s, 80s, and 90s music and danced the night away. The DJ was pretty good as well.

I named my NYE outfit “Gold Rush” because that’s my theme for the new year. This year I plan to be even more successful, happier, and positive than I was in 2019. I have big plans for my career after graduating college, a whole new goals for my blogs post, and I wanna do more with my YouTube channel, while keeping my blog the main focus. This year is going to be about just doing things and hanging with people that make me happy. I’ve gotten better with not holding grudges and working on towards forgiveness. I’m better at dealing with my emotions and taking risks (thinking less about the “what if…”). This year, I’m not really doing the whole NY resolution thing but rather making goals for myself. I hadn’t told anyone this until now, my biggest goal for 2019 is to start my online boutique before the end of the year. I’ve always wanted to have my own boutique, I mean helloooo my major is fashion merchandising! However, for a while I ran from that dream a little. I always knew I wanted my own business, no matter how big or small, just something that was mine. Now, my goal is to make that dream come true. I’ve been scared to do this for a long time, because of people saying my major isn’t a profitable one or the job market doesn’t cater to what I wanna do. I say, to hell with them because I will never know unless I try.I still plan on entering the work force, but I’m going to put in the extra time to make myself happy. Being healthy and happy mentally, spiritually, and physically is my 2019 goal.

I hope you all have a great year!

XOXO
